I saw this film on one of the movie channels yesterday. It amazes me everytime I see it. It was wonderful on the big screen when I saw it at Cinema Arts Theatre when it first came out. It was a 2007 Golden Globe Best Picture Nominee and was nominated for best Costume Design for the 2007 Academy Awards. The clothes of the '60 were a work of art in themselves.It is still an interesting commentary on the 60's. If you see it, don't let the simplicity of the beginning fool you. Its statement about innocence, war, peace and love becomes more intricate as time goes on -- just like the 60's.
